The Town of Pulaski is sponsoring a community garden starting in the spring of 2008.  The garden will be located in a vacant field east of town off of Route 99.  Applications, liability statements, and guidelines are now available in the secretary’s office on second floor of Town Hall.  All applications must be returned by Thursday, May 1, 2008.

Guidelines and Rules

for the

Pulaski Community Garden

All Pulaski Community Garden plots will be 10 ft. x 10 ft. (3m x 3m).  Additional plots can be requested.

I will have my garden planted by May 31, 2008, and keep it planted until time to harvest.

If for any reason I must abandon my plot(s), I will notify the designee of the Pulaski Community Garden.

If my plot becomes unkempt, I understand I will be given notice to clean it up.  If after 1 week the plot is not cleaned it will be reassigned or tilled in.

I will keep trash and litter cleaned from the plot, as well as from adjacent pathways and fences.

I will pick my own crops unless given permission by the plot user.

I will not use fertilizers, insecticides or weed repellents that will in any way affect other plots.  The Community Garden Committee strongly suggests using organic fertilizers, insecticides or weed repellents when possible.

I will participate in the fall clean-up of the garden.

Vegetables and herbs will only be planted.

An application form must be filled out in full before a garden plot can be assigned.  All application forms must be turned in by May 1, 2008 to Barbara Tate, Community Relations Director, Pulaski Senior Center.
