THE CROOKED ROAD MUSICIAN'S DIRECTORY
As part of our continuing mission to promote the traditional mountain music of Southwest Virginia and unite our community, The Crooked Road: Virginia's Heritage Music Trail is compiling a Crooked Road Musician's Directory. This directory will be accessible via a link on our homepage, and will be available to everybody.
The Crooked Road Musician's Directory is for professional and semi-professional musicians and bands, as well as amateurs, hobbyists, people looking to join or form bands, or to just hook up with other local pickers for informal jamming.
If you are an individual, please let us know what instrument(s) you play. If you are a band, please give us details about your sound, and what makes you unique.
If you teach classes or give lessons in traditional mountain music or dance, we'd like to hear from you, too. Please complete the last question on the form and let us know what classes and/or instrument(s) you teach. Please also list if you teach privately, or for which organization/school you teach.
For the time being the Directory is limited to participants who live in the following 19 counties of the Heartwood region: Dickenson, Wise, Lee, Scott, Washington, Grayson, Carroll, Floyd, Patrick, Franklin, Bland, Buchanan, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Russell, Smyth, Tazewell, and Wythe, as well as the cities of Bristol, Galax, Norton and Radford.

There are many fine pickers out there who are not on-line or do not have home access to a computer. For them, we have created a PDF form that can be downloaded from our site, printed, filled out by hand and mailed to us. WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you know of any such musicians, please download and print the form and distribute to them. If you run or own a venue or a jam, or if you are a regular attendee, please print several copies and bring with you to the event and give them out, or leave them to be picked up by interested parties.

Thank you for your participation.
