Info on Municipal Building Closure to Public

As a precautionary measure due to the COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) pandemic, beginning on Monday, March 23rd the Municipal Building will be closed to the public.

If you have questions regarding building and/or zoning permits, please contact our Community Development Department at 540-994-8606.

If you have questions related to engineering or cemeteries, please contact our Engineering Department at 540-994-8618

For citizens requesting Police assistance, please contact the Pulaski Police Department at 540-994-8680. The Police Department may be accessed during business hours in the lobby of the municipal building by entering through the building's front doors only. Agency personnel may be contacted at the municipal building after business hours by utilizing the intercom located at the door at the rear of the building to speak to someone at the communications center.

Finance Department Adjustments

The Wells Fargo location (1000 E. Main Street) will only be open for taking payments on utilities, taxes and decals. Other finance operations should be taken care of via email, fax or the drop-box located on the side of the building. For special circumstances, please contact the Finance Department directly at 540-994-8640 for further guidance.

To limit exposure, the Town strongly encourages online payments, payments via the drop-box, by mail, or official payments via phone or internet. Effective Monday, the Town Manager has temporarily agreed to reimburse the fee customers pay to utilize the services of Official Payments for utility bills. Customer accounts will be credited accordingly as payments are received. Penalties have been waived for late payments on utility bills this month.

While the Town of Pulaski doesn't fall under SCC guidelines, we will be following their recommendation to postpone utility disconnections for this month, and we will
re-evaluate each billing cycle.

We appreciate the restaurants that continue to serve our citizens, and we will be waiving late payment penalties for the foreseeable future on meals taxes. Restaurants are still required to file their monthly statement with the Town. We encourage restaurants to contact the Finance Department for further information at 540-994-8640.

We are extending the due date for Town decals from April 1st until May 1st for motor vehicles. We will mail decals if customers provide a self-addressed envelope including their payment, vehicle and contact information. Again, please contact the Finance Department for further information at 540-994-8640.

This process has been a monumental undertaking across all of our departments over the past week. We want to take a moment to thank everyone involved in ensuring our citizens will still be taken care of while these measures are implemented. We understand that these changes may be an inconvenience, but they are being implemented in an abundance of caution for your safety and well-being. We look forward to still providing the Town of Pulaski with the exceptional servicethat you have come to expect from us.
