Sounds of Summer is Back in Jackson Park

The Town of Pulaski knows all about concerts. We have several throughout the year, including performances at the Music and Merchants Festival and Pulaskifest. But one that stands out above these is the Sounds of Summer Concert Series.

The Sounds of Summer Concert Series is a mainstay event for the residents of the Town of Pulaski, with multiple dates booked throughout the summer in Jackson Park. The first concert will take place on June 14th from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., with two other dates to follow on July 19th and August 2nd. The music lineup promises to be great this year as well; the last two musical groups have yet to be decided, but The Java Brothers will be providing their signature bluegrass sound to spectators in Jackson Park.

The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley is the host of the Sounds of Summer Concert Series, which has been around in one form or another for quite a long time. They enjoy the opportunity to bring great music and good times to the people of the Town of Pulaski, who wouldn't dream of missing the concerts. Janie Akers, who volunteers at the Fine Arts Center, had this to say about why she loves the concert series: "I love the music and festive atmosphere, and the outdoor concert format of the event is great. And the special food!"

Judging from Ms. Akers' comments, we have a lot to look forward to in Jackson Park in the coming months. We'll see you next Friday for a great evening filled with memorable music, tasty food and the wonderful atmosphere the Town of Pulaski is known for!
