Wings Tails Fins is Where the Pets Are at

When you think about a small town, a lot of people first think of the local hangout spot, or the best restaurant in town. Or if you're like me, you might think of the local pet store. Wings Tails Fins is a locally owned pet store located right on Main Street. What differentiates them from a lot of other pet stores is that they specialize in imports; bringing in rare and sought after species of birds, marine fish, and reptiles. When you first walk in, you may notice some loud noises. Those would be the resident birds, letting you know that they rule the roost. Most of these birds have very distinct personalities, with some being very affectionate and some preferring their personal space. If you walk around you'll probably get to meet Shyloh, a very sweet African Grey parrot that belongs to the store owners. He loves to have his feathers petted! Moving on to the reptiles, they have a large selection of pets to choose from here as well. Along with several species and breeds of snake, they have lizards both large and small, including an enormous iguana with his own tank to hang out in. In my opinion the most impressive part of the store is the aquarium section. Along with the freshwater section, which is impressive in its own right, the really impressive stuff is in the saltwater section. Since saltwater tanks require much more precision and care in order for them to thrive, the tanks on display not only have to work for the fish; they also have to look great. Which they do! There's a variety of coral living in about eight different tanks, along with a healthy variety of fish to choose from. All in all, there's something here for everyone, whether you're buying your first goldfish, looking for a bird buddy, or want to try your hand at keeping a python. Give them a visit the next time you get the itch for a new pet!
